After years in public and private practice, battling Atlanta traffic and watching our community grow we decided it was time to plant our flag. Marilyn Langford Davis, CPA, MBA - Partner in Charge of Accounting and Auditing
Marilyn serves as President of Davis & Langford PC. She brings over 20 years of tax, accounting and auditing experience to the firm. She started her career as an auditor with the State of Florida auditing the Governor's Office and Florida State University. She was recruited by KPMG where she worked in the Private Business Advisory Services group performing audits and tax work for private companies. She later joined the Coca Cola Company where she served in various accounting and tax roles including controller for their captive finance company. After we relocated to Kansas City, Marilyn became a provider of outsourced accounting services for private companies. She has served as a contract controller for a variety of businesses in the professional services, restaurant and retail industries. Marilyn holds a CPA license in Georgia and Florida. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree with a perfect 4.0 from Georgia State University. Her undergraduate degree in Accounting is from Florida State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and an FSU Cheerleader - Go Noles! Marilyn is a member of the Florida Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Clifford A. Davis, CPA, MPA - Partner in Charge of Taxation
Cliff brings 26 years of tax, accounting and consulting experience to the firm. He started his career as a staff accountant for a local CPA while he was in graduate school. After graduation he joined KPMG as a staff accountant in the audit department. Twelve years later he was a Senior Manager in the consulting department working with middle market companies on mergers & acquisitions as well as performing litigation support. Since KPMG, Cliff has served as CFO and COO for a variety of businesses in the technology and financial services arena.
His industry experience includes professional services, construction, financial services, retail, hospitality, software, and manufacturing. Functional experience includes accounting, auditing, tax compliance, turnaround/restructuring, due diligence and operational improvement.
Cliff holds a CPA license in the state of Georgia. He earned his Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia. Cliff is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's and the American Institute of Certiifed Public Accountants. he currently serves as Treasurer of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce.
A. Michael Mirza CPA
Michael began his career with Grant Thornton and later Ernst & Young after completing his degree at the University of Michigan. He formed the firm A. Michael Mirza CPA in 1993 in Norcross, moving to Johns Creek in 1999. Michael is an expert in international business operations and frequently travels around the world to provide advisory services.
Karen Morgan CPA - Tax Manager
Karen Morgan is our senior tax manager serving small business and individual clients in the technology, staffing, hospitality and service industries. Karen is a graduate of Emory University. She joined Davis & Langford in the merger with A. Michael Mirza CPA. Prior to joining Mirza she worked with KPMG consulting on income tax strategies. Her private company experience includes banking and controllership of a service business.
Suzanne Araoz CPA - Tax Preparer
Suzanne has worked with Davis & Langford since 2009 preparing returns for businesses and individuals. She is a Georgia CPA having completed her accounting studies at Georgia State University. Suzanne has an undergraduate degree in Real Estate from Florida State University.
Pam Andris - Accounting and Payroll
Pam serves small business owners by maintaining accounting and payroll records. She handles monthly payrolls and quarterly filing.
Lou Anne Cline - Accounting
Lou Anne is the newest addition to our staff. She provides bookkeeping and QuickBooks services to our business customers. Lou Anne is available to assist remotely or on site as needed.
Jane Sullivan - Tax Administration
Jane handles the scheduling and delivery of tax services. She joined Davis & Langford in 2010 and has participated in our conversion to paperless filing and workflow. Jane is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
Chip Davis - Tax Assistant
Chip Davis performs data entry, scanning and customer service for us while he is working on his degree in accounting.
Lang Davis - Network Administrator
Lang performs network administration and desktop support. He is pursuing a degree in computer science.
